Factoid of the day
FROTZ is a common spell in the Enchanter series of games that turns objects into servicable light sources. The name FROTZ has its origins in 1970's computer and electronics jargon. FROTZ was an informal contraction of the obscure term FROBNITZ, which referred to arbitrary objects, similar to "thingamajig" or "doohickey". FROBNITZ is also the origin of the well-known Infocom term FROBOZZ.
